From Casual to Elegant – Dining at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
Kiawah Island Golf Resort operates eight restaurants and lounges, and one market – all located on the island.
The Atlantic Room, located at The Kiawah Island Inn, was recently awarded AAA’s Four Diamond rating. Enjoy a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean at one of the resort’s finest dining rooms. The menu features a wide variety of deep-ocean fish and shellfish caught daily, as well as aged beef and coastal specialties. The Sunday Champagne Buffet Brunch features the Chef’s weekly entrée selections, along with chilled displays of oysters on the half shell, shrimp, carved meats, exotic salads and an array of tantalizing desserts.
Located in the newly renovated lobby lounge of The Kiawah Island Inn, the Charleston Bar offers a light fare from 4-11 p.m. With beautiful woodwork, fine cabinetry and a marble-topped bar, the Charleston Bar is a great place for an afternoon drink or pre-dinner cocktail. It is also a perfect location to linger over a premium cigar from the humidor.
The AAA Four Diamond rated Dining Room at Osprey Point is located in an elegant clubhouse and set on the edge of the Tom Fazio-designed Osprey Point golf course. It serves a sumptuous, upscale breakfast and lunch daily along with evening dining. Adorned with antiques, exquisite paintings and furnishings, this luxurious venue provides a unique experience for each diner.
The Turtle Point Grille is located in Turtle Point Golf Course’s new clubhouse. The Grille serves contemporary and classic American cuisine seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dining room overlooks the classic Jack Nicklaus design, while the dinner menu features dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood and an extensive wine list. The casually refined environment of the dining rooms is a perfect place to bring friends and family, while the adjacent bar is a great setting to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or celebrate a victorious round. The bar also offers an abbreviated menu or pub fare.
Offered as an exclusive amenity to guests of Kiawah Island Golf Resort, The Sundancer Oceanside Grill & Bar, located at the Inn at Kiawah Island pool complex, adds to the festive atmosphere popular among beachcombers and sunbathers. The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, and snacks. The Sundancer is known for its outstanding frozen daiquiris and tropical favorites, made with dark rum and a variety of fresh juices. The bar area is an open-air cabana that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and offers fantastic views of the spectacular Kiawah sunset. Night Heron Poolside Grill, located at Night Heron Park, serves a similar fare to Sundancer.
Nestled in the Shops at The Kiawah Island Inn is the West Beach Café & Bar. This quaint, American cafe caters to families with its simple menu and inexpensive prices. Enjoy crisply fried seafood, grilled meats, pasta specials and mouth-watering sandwiches. Families may enjoy dining inside or experience the village atmosphere outdoors on the porch.
Located at the Eastern tip of the island is the Ocean Course Grill, which serves both breakfast and lunch. Dine overlooking the course that hosted the 1991 Ryder Cup matches and the 1997 World Cup of Golf. Whether golfing or not, The Ocean Course is the ideal setting to enjoy the view of the Atlantic Ocean over cocktails or a casual meal.
The Market at Town Center is the resort’s only market and features the items needed to complete any vacation. Available are groceries, sundries, film, logo apparel, newspapers, beer and wine, video rentals, freshly baked breads and sweet treats.
The dining experience at Kiawah Island Golf Resort isn't just limited to restaurant settings. Theme dinners and cookouts are offered seasonally at special times and places. Favorites include the Lowcountry Oyster Roast & Barbecue at Mingo Point, and the Family Cookout at Night Heron Park.
The Lowcountry Oyster Roast & Barbecue at Mingo Point has become a seasonal favorite at Kiawah. The beautiful riverside setting at sunset provides a scenic backdrop for the traditional fare of roasted oysters and Southern barbecue, accompanied by a buffet spread that bows the table. After dinner, guests enjoy live Beach and Bluegrass music.
The Family Cookout at Night Heron Park provides fun for the entire family by offering a traditional "backyard" style cookout during the summer months. Hamburgers and hot dogs are offered fresh from the grill, while the musical sounds of Rick Hubbard and his world famous Kazoo band fill the air.
