Phoenix & Scottsdale Golf Course Reviews
The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ)
Great course and a great value with exceptional service. Great mixture of a traditional layout with a desert feel. - Total Reviews: 4
Anthem Golf & Country Club (Anthem, AZ)
Just a fabulous golf course. Great value in the summer. I've played Grayhawk, Troon, The Raven...it ranks right up there with the best of them. - Total Reviews: 1
Troon North Golf Club - Pinnacle (Scottsdale, AZ)
Very enjoyable, wonderful greens and unique holes. Only detractor is minor road noise on some holes. Worth playing at least once. I'd play Monument first. - Total Reviews: 3
Cave Creek Golf Course (Phoenix, AZ)
Excellent city course and great value!! - Total Reviews: 3
Pavilion Lakes Golf Club (Scottsdale, AZ)
Good value for the money. Course is not the best in the area but in relativly good shape. - Total Reviews: 3
Talking Stick Golf Club - North (Scottsdale, AZ)
This course would have been much better if they didn't water so much. Due to the fact that it is on a Reservation they have no water restrictions like the rest of the courses in the Valley. But they take it too far and the ball plugs in the fairway. The greens were in great shape and the design is very nice, with a great mix of long and short holes. At $35.00 after June 4th, you can't beat it, even if the ball plugs. - Total Reviews: 4
Scottsdale Country Club - North/East (Scottsdale, AZ)
A good warm up course. The East nine is a better test, but a good deal in the summer months. - Total Reviews: 1
Club West Golf Course (Phoenix, AZ)
If they could get the fairways to grow in, this would be a great course. There is currently a lot of dead areas in the fairways, greens and tee boxes. - Total Reviews: 2
Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort (Scottsdale, AZ)
The trees they talk about below, are not a factor. The fairways are wide and generous. You really have to hit a bad shot to get into tree trouble. - Total Reviews: 3
Papago Golf Course (Phoenix, AZ)
It is an average course for a park district in the southwest. It does not compare favorably with public courses found in the midwest. I have played it 3 times and seen a ranger once. Refreshment/water cart does not seem to have any preplanned route, so you may or may not see one during your round. Clubhouse staff is very friendly and helpful. - Total Reviews: 2
Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge (Phoenix, AZ)
Target golf is necessary, since the gorse is everywhere and swallows balls constantly. Often better to use one less club. Approach shots should be rolled in, you cannot stick to the green. Greens undulate and can play havoc if you are above the hole. All in all a great golf experience. Steve Owens - Total Reviews: 3
Golf Club at Eagle Mountain, The (Fountain Hills, AZ)
A real nice change from the typical Desert course! Lots more grass than most area courses. A bit pricey but play later in day for good bargain. A must play in the Valley of the Sun. - Total Reviews: 1
Viewpoint Golf Resort - Championship (Mesa, AZ)
Excellent value for an Arizona golfcourse. - Total Reviews: 3
Palm Valley Golf Club - Long (Goodyear, AZ)
only five dollars for juniors to walk. can be long to walk but is easy enough for most - Total Reviews: 2
Grayhawk Golf Club - Talon (Scottsdale, AZ)
Service and course conditioning are outstanding. The course layout itself is very good but not remarkable. I would put it on your to play list if you don't mind paying $175. - Total Reviews: 3
Tonto Verde Golf Club - Ranch (Rio Verde, AZ)
Dollar for dollar, probably one of the finest courses in the area. Great layout, great condition, friendly people and affordable. - Total Reviews: 2
Legend Trail Golf Club (Scottsdale, AZ)
Great course that is as nice as any in the area. - Total Reviews: 4
Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club (Phoenix, AZ)
New course. Housing developement construction is a bother. Will be a great course once the housing construction is complete. Still worth it. - Total Reviews: 4
Stonecreek Golf Club (Paradise Valley, AZ)
A bit to costly at $125.00. Otherwise a challenging course for the average golfer. - Total Reviews: 5
Troon North Golf Club - Monument (Scottsdale, AZ)
A "must play" in the Scottsdale area! - Total Reviews: 3
