Landmark Golf Club, Palm Springs
Landmark was home to the Skins game for several years, so I always enjoy playing courses I have watched the pro play on telev... Full Review
Palm Springs Golf Course Reviews
PGA of Southern California Golf Club - Legends (Calimesa, CA)
Absolutely one of the finest golf establishments in the Inland Empire/Southern California...fantastic layouts/challenging and in awesome condition year round. The nicest clubhouse in the southern cal area. - Total Reviews: 1
Reserve, The (Indian Wells, CA)
Probably one of the most stunning golf courses in the United States and maintained daily in superb condition. - Total Reviews: 3
Desert Willow Golf Resort - Mountain View (Palm Desert, CA)
One of the Nicest Public Courses in the Desert. Mountain course is a little eaiser, but challenging. - Total Reviews: 2
Marriott's Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Country Club - North/South (Rancho Mirage, CA)
You don't have to stay here to play. It is open to the public. We played @ noon for $39 on Memorial Day weekend. It was great. The course is not that difficult. A great place to play for the price; you can't beat it. - Total Reviews: 1
PGA of Southern California at Oak Valley - Champions (Calimesa, CA)
This rating relates to the truly magnificent practice facilities and the clubhouse facilities only. One very large, multi-tiered grass practice tee--no waiting ever. The six greens on the practice tee are bunkered, with lasered distances. Two beautifully-surfaced, very fast practice putting greens, one huge, to both of which chipping is allowed. An additional bunker practice green with two traps, in the style of each of the two courses. Fairway bunker practice area. Up-hill, down-hill, and side-hill practice area. This facility truly encourages practice--all day, if you like. The pro shop is large and comfortable with fine supplies of everything. Pull up a comfortable chair and watch TV golf. Got a swing or rules question? The pros are happy to have you ask, and they supply complimentary club fittings. Beautiful country-club-style restaurant, bar, and locker facilities. Breakfasts and lunches are exceptional, and remarkably reasonable. Want morning coffee to go? Practically complimentary: Ten cents for a regular styro cup; twenty cents for the large one. - Total Reviews: 1
Oak Valley Golf Club (Beaumont, CA)
Personnel are very professional. The PGA Head pro Scott Arnold is a very good teacher & runs a good program. - Total Reviews: 1
Cimarron Golf Club - Long (Cathedral City, CA)
During the summer you can play this course for a song. It is more interesting than a lot of the 116 sloped courses in Palm Springs - Total Reviews: 3
Golf Resort at Indian Wells, The - The West (Indian Wells, CA)
Even in the summer, this course is in very playable condition when their higher priced sisters like PGA West have gone to h--- in a handbasket. The greenskeepers are to be commended for their excellent work. Good bang for the buck here. - Total Reviews: 1
Golf Resort at Indian Wells, The - The East (Indian Wells, CA)
Fun course to play, enough water to keep it interesting and the condition is good, even in the summer. Funky bridge to go across adds to the charm of this place and number 18 around the big hotel is a good way to finish! - Total Reviews: 1
Marriott's Desert Springs Resort - Palms (Palm Desert, CA)
Great course for experienced players. Not for beginers. - Total Reviews: 1
Soboba Springs Royal Vista Golf Course (San Jacinto, CA)
stay away, I want this course all to myself. stay away I say - Total Reviews: 3
Rancho Mirage Country Club (Rancho Mirage, CA)
A great challenge. Long par 4's that make the course play deceptively long for the overall course length. Beautiful scenery for an overall great experience! - Total Reviews: 4
Palm Springs Country Club (Palm Springs, CA)
Even I can make the par 5s in regulation. No long par 3s - 2 medium and 2 short. If those are 'narrow' fairways (a couple are, a bit) I've never played many 'wide' ones. Generous twilight times to save a few bucks. A favorite of mine here, all things considered. - Total Reviews: 2
Cathedral Canyon Country Club - Lake View/Mountian View (Cathedral City, CA)
Only played it a few times (due to fixed, limited income)but found it very acceptable. Was still in good shape in middle of summer. Only drawback to me is a bit excessive cart driving thru housing complex streets as many holes bracketed by homes. Price at the start of the upscale section for this area. Many courses much more expense. - Total Reviews: 1
Canyon South Golf Course (Palm Springs, CA)
Very challenging course. Has been for me, at least. As many doglegs as straight holes, as I recall. Haven't played there since it has been remodeled. Anxious to see what changes were made. Run by same company as Palm Springs Country Club, which is in a wind slot and gets blown pretty good at times, but Canyon South is nestled closer behind Mt. San Jacinto and wind has never been a problem when I played. - Total Reviews: 2
Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort - Legend (Palm Springs, CA)
I play this most (because of resident discount)and managed sub 90 rounds 12 times this last summer, which is great for me. Contrary to other writeup, most greens are not flat but have mild to considerable slopes to deal with. This summer they added a whole bunch of fairway bunkers and an additional one by several greens. Accuracy off the tee much more important now - if you drive that far - but even I can end up in some with only slightly errant drive. Grass always in great shape, right up to skimming and reseeding time. Very pleasant and helpful staff. - Total Reviews: 1
Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort - Resort (Palm Springs, CA)
Another very challenging course for me but fun to play, even thru many frustrations. Another course I can only play on summer and resident rates, but it is, again, always in great shape - right up to skimming and reseeding time. Water holes challenging and as bit troublesome for me, but even I make it often. First time you play, be sure to check score card for layout out drive up and take a look, if you can't see ground all the way to green. Forget the number, but one hole in particular has hidden water that could grab you on second shot if you don't know about it. When you consider these are basically municipal courses (although managed by the Arnold Palmer company) they are really good values, especially in this area. - Total Reviews: 1
Mesquite Golf & Country Club (Palm Springs, CA)
Another course I seem to flounder on, but I still recognize it as a fine one. Very challenging for us duffers as it doesn't take too bad a shot to get in trouble, especially around the waters. - Total Reviews: 1
Sun City Palm Desert Golf Course - Santa Rosa/San Jacinto (Palm Desert, CA)
Hope to try this again, now that I'm playing better, and see the new 9 holes they added recently. Didn't do well before but still thought it an excellent course to play. Good seasonal price for such a good course in this area. - Total Reviews: 2
Indian Springs Golf Course (La Quinta, CA)
Another course that I haven't played since they did some remodeling. Was always in pretty good shape when I played (thru the summer) and the seasonal rates can't be beat in this area for such a nice course. Some really tricky holes that get you in big trouble from errant tee shots, but fun to take the challenge, anyway, even though they usually ruined my scoring. Run by the same people who handle Palm Springs Country Club and Canyon South courses. If money is even a small problem, those 3, Sun City and the Tahquitz (Palm Springs city course) are the best values in this area, in my opinion. - Total Reviews: 1
