Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (Pawleys Island, SC) If you are going to play one course in and around Pawley's Island, this is the one not to miss. A gorgeous layout among the 300 year old oaks. the course looks like it has been there forever. The setting is excellent. The layout is challenging but not over bearing. - Total Reviews: 7

Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club (Pawleys Island, SC) Except for the unusal tee boxes for the 13th & 17th holes, both par 3s, this course is the best in Myrtle Beach. - Total Reviews: 2

Arrowhead Country Club - Lakes/Cypress (Myrtle Beach, SC) This is one of the premire courses in MB. I feel fortunate that I live only a few minutes away. Water, water everywhere! - Total Reviews: 4

Long Bay Club (Longs, SC) Look for special rates available at different times of the day. Having played it twice the most I have paid was $48 per person including a cart. This is almost half of the published $90 rate. It is by far one of the most plush courses you will play for the fee. - Total Reviews: 1

Wedgefield Plantation Golf Course (Georgetown, SC) The best kept secret in the Myrtle Beach area. Don't look for manicured amenities or a modern clubhouse here, but if golf on a challenging and unique layout is what you want than this is the place for you. - Total Reviews: 2

TPC of Myrtle Beach (Murrells Inlet, SC) Very typical TPC style layout - generous fairways, 15 very narrow greens. Visually very friendly. Bring a hot putter and enjoy yourself. - Total Reviews: 3

Tidewater Golf Club (North Myrtle Beach, SC) Over the past 10 years we have played 60 golf courses in the Myrtle Beach / NC corridor. Tidewater is definitely the finest course we have played. Visually stunning! Almost every hole will stick in your memory. No repetitious holes/layout. Fair, but at times very, very challenging. Wind will have a significant effect on your club selection. Many greens are 3-clubs in depth. Expect to really enjoy yourself! - Total Reviews: 4

Wachesaw Plantation East (Murrells Inlet, SC) Played this course in December and due to the lack of definition between fairway and rough (the rye grass had not grown in as yet), the course was very, very visually intimidating. This course holds an LPGA tournament and it is very understandable why the winner is usually less than 10 under par. Yardage book would have been very useful. - Total Reviews: 2
